I often prefer sitting at the back of the room during a conference presentation or lecture. Sometimes I don’t even sit in the back row, but instead stand against the back wall, or just sit on the floor. Joshua Kim describes this phenomenon, and gives some reasons why. I agree with what he’s saying here–both why I do it, and why it often may not be a good thing to do.
